Video game developer Blizzard has announced that it is close to the launch date of a new mod for Stracraft II: Wings of Liberty, which is specifically designed to allow players to get into multiplayer matches with a clearer understanding of what it has to offer.

The Starcraft Master mod will include 30 challenge scenarios that are custom designed in order to train players in the rigors of the multiplayer experience and give them a competitive chance when it comes to actually facing other humans.

The official Battle.net blog states, “These fun and demanding challenges range from “kiting” a single unit, to managing incoming damage and maximizing unit abilities, to controlling a mix of units to obtain victory over a superior enemy force.”

At the moment Blizzard is also working on the final touches to the Heart of the Swarm expansion for Starcraft II, which is set to arrive during the summer, and a version of DOTA that will use Starcraft characters.
