Blizzard is certainly a game developer very popular with the gamer community, largely because it delivers great titles, such as WarCraft, Diablo or the massively successful World of Warcraft MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), which has over 11 million paying subscribers.

But, although all of these games deliver a great experience, there is one title that fans have been waiting for for a very long time, StarCraft II, the expansion to one of the most popular RTS (Real Time Strategy) games out there. The original StarCraft is still being played today, thanks to Blizzard's Battle.Net service, which offers players a great online experience.

But, although fans didn’t meet the decision that StarCraft II would be split into three separate games, each title being dedicated to one of the races in the game, the Terrans, the Protoss and the Zerg, with too much trust, quite a lot of Blizzard executives said that it was for the best. Now, as a token of appreciation, the development team of StarCraft II has launched a new feature, called Battle Report, which showcases different battles between members of the development team.

The first episode has just been launched, and it contains a skirmish battle between two of StarCraft II's associate game balance designers, Matt Cooper and David Kim, and is commented by the lead designer of the game, Dustin Browder, along with e-Sports member Robert Simpson. This first episode also unveils quite a lot of things about the units, and, most importantly, it showcases the new spectator mode, which has a whole bunch of features, including the fact that you can see what technologies players are developing.

The first episode can be seen here, and it provides quite an interesting Protoss versus Terran battle, full of surprises and quick turnarounds. A must-see for any true strategy fan, which will make the anticipation of the first game, StarCraft II Terrans: Wings of Liberty, unbearable. Let's hope that Blizzard will release it soon and offer strategy fans a great experience.
