Project Titan, the new MMO from Blizzard, already has a big development team, despite the fact that the company still has many people working on content for its current MMO, World of Warcraft.

Rob Pardo, who is the vice president in charge of game design at Blizzard, has revealed that Project Titan is “definitely in the middle of development at this point”.

He added, “The team is over 100 people now” and suggested that initially only a few people worked on the new MMO and the number grew as the process advanced.

Titan was first revealed in 2011 after a number of Blizzard internal documents from a China subsidiary were leaked.

The game had an attached launch date of 2013, but Blizzard only confirmed that it was working on the game and would not be drawn on when it might be available.

Blizzard executives have already confirmed that experienced World of Warcraft developers have moved to the Project Titan team.
