When a manufacturer involved in a certain specific branch of the consumer electronics and computing fields sort of runs out of ideas as far as the design of its products is concerned, he turns to all sorts of “tricks” that will keep them in spotlight a second longer, one of the most common practices being that of “blinging-up” a certain item. The process consists of adding all sorts of shiny and blingy accessories to the device in question, whether we're talking about a special paint job or, more commonly, the addition of the already way too commonplace Swarovsky crystals, that the manufacturers seem to consider particularly attractive for certain market segments, such as the female audience. Anyway, the reason why we've started talking about blingy stuff is that MSI, otherwise a very serious and well-known computer manufacturer, has apparently come up with a netbook designed specifically for the customers who enjoy this sort of shiny things (although this is not their first foray into the realm of crystal-studded portable computing systems). The model in question, spotted via NotebookItalia, is called MSI Wind U135DX Crystal, and its main selling point is represented by the large number of tiny Swarosvky crystals spread out across its case lid, that will certainly make it stand out from a crowd, especially if the user tends to surround himself/herself with people that appreciate this sort of accessories. Apart from these design-related accessories, the Crystal edition is no different from the basic MSI Wind U135DX netbook, featuring the same Atom N455 processor from Intel, up to 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 10-inch LED backlit display. The blingy and shiny MSI Wind U135DX should become available across Europe in the near future, although, for the time being, pricing and precise availability details have not been yet provided.
