After two test builds, the first release candidate for Blender 2.64 has been released. It encompasses the major improvements in the previous builds and polishes up some rough edges.
The highlights for this official revision include better motion tracking thanks to the implementation of planar tracking. Less significant improvements refer to dopesheet view and tripod solving.
In the case of the Sequencer, enhancements touch on speed and tools development, with the main changes relating on making color gradiented easier and real-time.
Greenscreen keying should be easier now, thanks to the two nodes added; one produces a gradient plate to work with uneven colors while the other lets you create mattes faster.
The current release also integrates a hefty set of repairs for issues detected in the previous versions. You can check them here
