Blender Fundation, the developer of Blender, an integrated 3D creation software suite, has announced that their software has reached version 2.60.

Blender 2.60 comes with a massive update, bringing a lot of new features and other changes. Just to name a few: 3D audio and speaker objects were added, along with various improvements to the sound system, sequence editor proxy support was restored, animation system improvements were done, Collada integration was improved, texture Face settings moved to materials and many others.

While a ton of stuff was added, Blender 2.60 also fixed 165 bugs. Here are some of the more prominent ones: add object operators rotation value was too sensitive when dragging, Separate By Material failed when some mesh material slots were unassigned, drawing curve crashed when using follow path, problem editing keymaps when filter was enabled, and a few dozens more.
