Each year, men’s magazine AskMen comes out with a ranking of the hottest 99 female celebrities of the year. Somewhat surprisingly, the publication crowns “Gossip Girl’s” Blake Lively with the “most desirable” crown for 2011.

For starters, one must note that gone are the days when Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox would come first in all the charts of the type, as they’re now being replaced by a whole new generation of hotties.

Jolie, for instance, comes in at number 67 (of 99). At 90, we find “Twilight” babe Kristen Stewart, while Kate Middleton is at number 61.

Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bundchen is at 34, while “Harry Potter” cutie-pie Emma Watson was voted at 17. Kate Beckinsale can be found at 14, while Natalie Portman, now pregnant with her first child, is at 11.

At number 10, we find a “Mad Men” star and, no, it is not Christina Hendricks or January Jones but Amanda Pare, of whom AskMen voters say she isn’t getting enough recognition as a stunner as she should.

Anne Hathaway is at number 9, having made a smooth transition from Disney darling to heir to the throne of Julia Roberts, the woman who can charm both men and women with her brilliant smile.

Katy Perry comes in at 8, followed closely by actress Scarlett Johansson and British pop star and television personality Cheryl Cole. Model and new mom Miranda Kerr is at number 5.

Selita Banks, another internationally famous model can be found at number 4, while Sofia Vergara, the stunner from “Modern Family” is third in the top.

Mila Kunis, most recently seen in Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan” is second in the top – with AskMen paying her her due both in terms of stunning looks and acting skills.

As for Blake Lively, “in just three years, [she] had gone from star of the salacious teen soap Gossip Girl to a legitimate movie star. But today, with her nomination for Favorite TV Drama Actress at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards, Blake Lively is on the verge of something even bigger,” the magazine writes.

“Unlike some of her equally-talented colleagues whose careers were derailed by the temptations that accompany sudden success (don’t worry, Lindsay – we won’t mention any names), Lively has climbed to the top of the ranks with an unusual amount of dignity and composure,” AskMen further says.
