14 DAY TRIAL // Playing a Bond girl doesn’t require that much by means of actual acting skills, but looks are very important. All Bond girls, without exception, were stunners and, for the next installment with Daniel Craig as the 007 agent, we already have two gorgeous women duking it out for the same role.
Star magazine writes in its latest print issue (story via CB) that both Blake Lively of the “Gossip Girl” fame and Amber Heard of the Johnny Depp fame are interested in the part of a Scandinavian woman who is a “good person with a troubled past,” aka the future Bond Girl.
Moreover, the tab says, producers are convinced that both would be perfect for the role but, obviously, only one can get it.
“This is a huge franchise, so anyone asked to audition jumps at the chance. There’s bound to be a showdown. They would certainly fight for it!” says a tipster.
The way I see it, both Blake and Amber have the perfect body to be a Bond girl but, when it comes to acting, the latter would probably do less of a messy job. Ask any film critic or even regular moviegoers and they will tell you that both women are gorgeous but they’re still a very long way from making a name for themselves for their acting, to put it mildly.
The next James Bond installment would definitely not be the place to prove their worth acting-wise, but it could open countless doors for that to happen. My money is on Amber right now, if only for the fact that she’s Depp’s fiancée. Care to place a wager?
