People from the U.S. have been able to enjoy the slim 3G Samsung SGH- i600, also known as the
Blackjack, for some time now and it looks like people from the UK will also be able to get themselves one of these handhelds at the end of February.
The
Samsung
SGH-i600 comes with a 2.3 inch 65k color screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 for connectivity with A2DP profile, a main 1.3 megapixel camera and a VGA camera on the front for video calling, and a multimedia player with support for a large number of file formats including WMA, MP3, AAC, AAC+, OGG, ASF, WMV, 3GP, H.263, MPEG4 and others.
A MicroSD card slot for memory expansion is also present, ensuring that you have enough space to store all the files you need. The handheld runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and comes with the mobile versions of Word, Excel and Powerpoint for editing and viewing documents as well as a PDF reader.
Other features include HSDPA and WiFi support and a QWERTY keyboard that will make the users life easier when texting and creating documents. Therefore, the Blackjack is appealing for both its multimedia features and the features it offers for business users.
The main advantage of the handheld would be its size. The SGH- i600 measures 113 x 59 x 12 mm and weighs 99 grams, which is considerably less than main rival Motorola Q's 115 grams and generally than most devices of this type.
