The new device is the latest addition to a lineup that already includes the BlackBerry Curve 8330, BlackBerry Pearl 8130, BlackBerry 8703 and BlackBerry 8830, the company added.

The new BlackBerry Tour smartphone comes to the market with a wide range of multimedia features, along with support for email and social networking, as well as for a large array of applications. Moreover, starting today, there is also a special promotion from Reliance Mobile aimed at customers ordering the handset in advance, who will get two months of free BlackBerry Internet Service on the carrier's network.

The feature list of BlackBerry Tour includes: - 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, variable zoom, image stabilization, autofocus and video recording - Full HTML web browser, including support for streaming audio and video (RTSP) - Advanced media player for videos, pictures and music, a 3.5 mm stereo headset jack and support for the Bluetooth Stereo Audio Profile (A2DP/AVCRP) - 256MB Flash memory - Built-in GPS - BlackBerry Media Sync support

Other specifications of the handset also include a black finish and chrome highlights at the edges, a body that measures 112mm x 62mm x 14.2mm and weighs 130g, as well as a full-QWERTY keyboard. The Tour comes with a 2.44-inch display that boasts a 480 x 360 pixel resolution, as well as with a microSD/SDHC memory card slot (hot swappable) that offers support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Those willing to order a BlackBerry Tour from Reliance Mobile can do so starting today, and they will benefit from the two months of free Internet service. However, one should not forget that the Tour does not come with Wi-Fi connectivity options, which means that Reliance's network is the one that will support all the data transfers.
