Blackberry Torch 9800 slider is powered by a 624 MHz processor and runs on the Blackberry 6.0 platform. It features a 3.2-inch TFT capacitivetouchscreen with16 million colors and 360 x 480 pixel resolution.

In addition to its full QWERTY keyboard, the device gets the 'standard' spec package for today's smartphones: optical trackpad, multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, 3.5 mm audio jack, 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 4GB card included).

The main downsides of the smartphone are the lack of a document editing app without a paid upgrade, no flash for the web browser and no email support or BlackBerry maps without BlackBerry Internet Service account.

As a side note, Blackberry Torch 9800 is the first RIM smartphone to include a touch screen, a physical QWERTY keyboard and slide form factor in the same package.
