Blackberry Bold 9900, one of the latest handsets to arrive on shelves from Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion, has just been spotted into the wild all dressed up in a white coat.

The handset has made an appearance at a technical exposition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is expected to arrive on shelves in the near future, even if nothing has been official announced on it until now.

However, it should not come as a surprise if RIM did announce it, since other handsets from the company were also made available in a white flavor, or in other colored versions.

The predecessor of Bold 9900, for example, none other than the widely known Bold 9000, suffered a similar fate, with the white flavor being unveiled to the world a while after the black variant went for sale.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 was launched a few months ago, but arrived on shelves only recently, in a black flavor.

The mobile phone packs the popular Bold design, with the full QWERTY keyboard on the front, but pairs it with a 2.8-inch touchscreen display.

The specifications list of this handset also includes a 1.2GHz application processor, along with 768 MB of RAM for increased performance capabilities, and 8 GB of internal storage, expandable to up to 32GB via a microSD memory card slot.

The handset also comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for 720p HD recording, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC capabilities, 3G, and more.

Not to mention that it runs under RIM's BlackBerry 7 operating system, which comes with a nice range of enhancements over previous platforms, including faster Internet navigation, better search, and integration with social networking.

For the time being, however, no specific details on the release of the new white flavor of Blackberry Bold 9900 emerged, but it should not be too long before all on it is announced, so keep an eye on this space for additional info.
