German publisher and developer Daedalic recently announced a new patch is available for BlackGuards 2, their latest turn-based RPG in the Dark Eye universe.

The sequel to BlackGuards made its debut last month and received fairly positive reviews for the most part. Even though it’s not without its flaws, it’s clear that Daedalic made a better job with BlackGuards 2.

We’ve already taken a deeper look into the game, so if you want more details on Daedalic’s title, you can now check our full BlackGuards 2 review.

However, those who already own the game probably know that BlackGuards 2 had some nasty freezing issues at some points, but it also suffered of AI inconsistencies sometimes.

According to developers, these issues have been fixed in this patch, along with many others mentioned by Daedalic. Apart from the huge number of major and minor bug fixes, lots of balancing changes have been implemented as well.

Some spells and weapons had their damage increased

For example, damage for some spells and abilities has been increased. The difficulty value for Mengbilla and Adamant fights has been changed as well, while the damage of daggers and stamina cost of dual wield maneuver have been increased as well.

Some visual and sound issues have been corrected too. The patch should also improve team AI reaction during some battles and improve escape zone functionality in order for players to be able to end a battle without having to wait in the inside escape zones.

Changes for certain battles in the game and characters have been implemented in the patch as well, though these are too specific to list here. The same goes for all the glitches and animation issues that appear in some cases
