One of the devices that Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry has been long rumored to plan on bringing to the market is the BlackBerry Z5, which emerged online a few times before as part of the company’s C-series devices, and which can be admired in new leaked images.

Apparently, the handset vendor has already decided to kill this smartphone and will never bring it to the market, though it might have managed to attract certain users to its side, since it was expected to be released as a cheap phone, the same as the BlackBerry Q5.

Instead, the company went for the BlackBerry Z3 handset, which was already made available for purchase on certain markets out there, and which has proved a real success in Indonesia.

The BlackBerry Z5 was expected to hit shelves with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and with a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 S4 (Krait QCT) processor, while also featuring 1.5GB of RAM.

Moreover, it was said to sport 8GB of internal memory, along with a 2100mAh PM1 battery, and to sport a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, along with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls, CrackBerry notes.

The new photos with the smartphone come from techrum.vn and offer us a look at the phone’s battery as well, as you can see below.
