14 DAY TRIAL // BlackBerry has already confirmed it will launch another smartphone in India on June 25. Given the fact that the Canadian company has already released most of its BlackBerry 10 devices in the country, we can safely assume the next smartphone to arrive in India is the Z3.
The cheapest BlackBerry 10 smartphone, the Z3 was initially launched in Indonesia and will soon make its debut in India, hopefully, at a very affordable price point.
Anyway, it looks like BlackBerry wants to sell more in India. More importantly, the company wants to sell high-end smartphones as well, not just the budget-friendly Z3 which is about to get released.
In order to do that, however, BlackBerry needs to adjust the prices of its smartphones in a country where the cost is the most important aspect in choosing the right device.
So, the last BlackBerry smartphone launched in India, the Z30, has just gotten another discount, which brings the upfront price to Rs 29,990 ($500 / €365).
Considering that the Z30 was previously available for purchase for Rs 34,990 ($580 / €425), I would say this is a pretty big discount that should attract more customers.
There’s a catch though. This is an exchange offer, which means customers will be able to grab the BlackBerry Z30 for Rs 29,990 after a minimum cashback of RS 5,000 ($85 / €60) in exchange for an old but still working phone, fonearena reports.
Unfortunately, there’s no telling which handsets are eligible for this offer, so you will have to check with the reps at the nearest BlackBerry brick-and-mortar stores.
