14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone users in India interested in the purchase of a BlackBerry Z30 or BlackBerry Z10 smartphone will be happy to learn that both phones are now available in the country, and that they also feature lower than usual price tags.
To be more precise, we should note that BlackBerry has decided to cut the price tag for the BlackBerry Z30, which is now up for grabs in the country at only Rs. 34,990 ($580/€421), as BBIN notes.
Moreover, the BlackBerry Z10 handset, which was released in India last year, but went out of stock a while ago, has returned to availability, also with a reduced price tag attached.
The smartphone can be purchased at Rs. 17,990 ($298/€216) now, less than half its original cost. According to BlackBerry, the phone is now available through the entire BlackBerry retail network across the country, as well as on Flipkart.com.
This is the same price tag that the device had in the country at the end of February, when BlackBerry decided to offer a promotion for it. However, it ran out of stock in early March and hasn’t returned to availability until now.
In a statement, BlackBerry has announced it has cut the price of Z30 after receiving great response for the special offer it made on BlackBerry Z10 in India.
The deal should allow more users to enjoy the benefits of the BlackBerry 10 operating system and will be available for people in India for the next sixty days.
“India is amongst the key emerging smartphone markets. The Indian consumers want access to cutting edge experience of a smart device combined with a revolutionary operating system – all at an attractive price point,” Hitesh Shah, Director, Channel Sales, BlackBerry India, said.
“We have seen a phenomenal response to our initial promotional offer on BlackBerry Z10 and are confident we will see similar off take for the 5 inch screen BlackBerry Z30 that combines technology and style quotient in one device.”
At the same time, the Canadian mobile phone maker has announced that the white version of BlackBerry Z30 will remain a Flipkart exclusive, and that it will feature the same price of Rs. 34,990.
The smartphone is available for purchase with the BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2 loaded on top, and with features such as BlackBerry Priority Hub, BBM Now, and the like.
“This anniversary price of Rs. 34,990/- will therefore ensure that consumers are able to experience the latest and best technology at an attractive cost,” Hitesh Shah concluded.
