14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry officially announced the largest smartphone in its BlackBerry 10 lineup, namely the Z30, and the full list of specs for the device is now available.
Announced with the new BlackBerry 10.2 OS loaded on top, the new mobile phone is set to become available for purchase as soon as the next week as BlackBerry’s “biggest, fastest and most advanced smartphone” to date.
The phone was made official with a 5-inch touchscreen Super AMOLED display capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a leaked document that emerged over at n4bb unveils.
Furthermore, it packs a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU inside, paired with quad-core Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM.
The new device also features 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.
On the back, it sports an 8-megapixel camera with 5-element F2.2 Lens, auto-focus, LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities. There is also a 2MP front camera included in the package, to enable video calling capabilities.
The new BlackBerry Z30 will arrive on shelves with an integrated 2880mAh battery packed inside, capable of delivering up to 25 hours of mixed use, the mobile phone maker claims.
The battery should provide users with up to 18 hours of talk time, or with up to 16 days of standby time. It can deliver up to 12 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The specifications list of the new mobile phone also includes dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot capabilities, and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy. Furthermore, there is NFC support packed inside the device, as well as 4G LTE connectivity.
BlackBerry Z30 also comes with built-in GPS receiver, microHDMI port, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, and Ambient Light sensor. The smartphone measures 14.7 x 72 x 9.4mm and weighs 170 grams.
