Yesterday, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry kicked off the pre-orders for its BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta smartphone in Indonesia, and the device is already selling out, it seems.

The limited edition device is running out of stock at Elevenia, Globalteleshop and Jeruknipis, a recent article on berryflow notes, though no specific info on the number of handsets available at each of them has been provided as of now.

However, as berryreview notes, even if stock was low right from the beginning, the fact that the phone was selling out about 7 hours after pre-orders kicked off shows that BlackBerry still has a lot of fans in this country. The phone will be officially released in Indonesia on May 13.

For those out of the loop, we should note that BlackBerry Z3 was launched in collaboration with Foxconn, and that it is a low-end device, aimed mainly at emerging markets around the world.

The Limited edition BlackBerry Z3 will come to the market with the "Jakarta" logo on the back, to signal the fact that it was built specifically for users in Indonesia.

The handset was launched in January without 4G LTE connectivity packed inside, though a model featuring support for this technology is expected to arrive on shelves too, most probably later this year.
