Earlier this week, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry went official with plans to bring the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone to shelves in Australia, with wireless carriers such as Optus and Telstra already confirming plans to add the handset to their offerings.

Apparently, the device is already selling through these carriers’ stores in the country, even if the official release date was set for March 25 at Optus and March 26 at Telstra.

According to N4BB, reports coming from the country suggest that users can grab the new device through brick and mortar retail locations as long as they sign up for a 24-month contract agreement for that.

Regardless of whether Australians can already grab the smartphone or not, the sure thing is that they will be able to do so as soon as next week.
