One of the smartphones that have been long rumored to be under development in BlackBerry’s labs but which haven’t made an official appearance as of now is the BlackBerry Windermere, which has just popped up online again.

Some new details on what the smartphone might pack in terms of hardware have emerged online now, suggesting that it could actually be better than initially expected, as CrackBerry reports.

According to the new report on this smartphone, BlackBerry would be planning on bringing it to the market with a 4.5-inch LCD touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 1440 x 1440 pixels resolution.

This 453 DPI display should be able to provide users with a great experience on their devices, especially when paired with the physical QWERTY keyboard that the phone is expected to feature.

According to the aforementioned CrackBerry report, the keyboard of the new handset is also set to prove revolutionary.

To be more precise, the keyboard is expected to provide users with a fast, yet accurate typing experience, while also putting at users’ fingertips all of their favorite all-touch gestures.

At the same time, the new handset should be able to keep users connected for an entire day. A powerful, efficient, but slim 3450mAh battery will be included inside the device, designed to ensure long usage times.

On the back, the new device will sport a 13-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization, which will offer a much better photo experience when compared to previous BlackBerry models. The BlackBerry 10 camera should also be enhanced for a better photo taking experience.

Apparently, the new BlackBerry Windermere, which should be launched as the BlackBerry Q30, will also be thinner than the BlackBerry Z30, which features a 9.4mm-thick body.

According to previous reports on the device, BlackBerry will release it with a quad-core Snapdragon MSM8974 processor inside.

Overall, it should be able to prove a great handset for all BlackBerry fans out there who are also fond of having a QWERTY keyboard on their devices.

Unfortunately, no official confirmation on the device has been provided as of now, and it remains to be seen whether these details on its hardware capabilities will indeed pan out in the end.

Specifics on when it might arrive on shelves haven’t been provided as of now either, though it might arrive on the market before the end of this year. Hopefully, some more info on the new smartphone will emerge sooner rather than later, so stay tuned to learn the news.
