There are many rumors running around that suggest BlackBerry might work with Samsung to launch an Android-powered smartphone with various BB services and apps.

The information has been confirmed from multiple sources, including the fact that the upcoming devices will feature a slider form factor.

That being said, it looks like the smartphone is internally known as BlackBerry Venice, and according to N4BB, it will be launched sometime in November.

Unfortunately, it's unclear whether or not this BlackBerry Venice that features a slider form factor will be released with Android or BlackBerry OS onboard.

There's also a third possibility and that would be for BlackBerry to allow customers to choose which OS their Venice should run. That way the Canadian company will appeal to both Android and BlackBerry fans.

No Snapdragon 810 for BlackBerry Venice

Either way it looks like the first details on BlackBerry's upcoming high-end smartphone have just leaked online. According to these specs, the Canadian company may have decided against using Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 810 chipset inside the Venice.

Although previous rumors suggested the next high-end BlackBerry device would be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset, the latest information indicates the smartphone will be in fact equipped with a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.

In addition, BlackBerry Venice is expected to pack 3GB of RAM and an 18-megapixel photo snapper on the back. The smartphone is also said to sport a 5.4-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution display and a 5-megapixel secondary camera in the front.

This is all the information we got about the unannounced BlackBerry Venice, but we expect more details to emerge in the coming months so stay tuned for more on this one.

As always, we recommend our readers to take the information with a grain of salt until BlackBerry comes forward with an official statement.
