The former with Verizon, the latter with T-Mobile

The BlackBerry Tour 9630 has been spotted in the wild a few times before, and we already learned that it should come to Verizon’s airwaves, though no release date for the handset has been announced until now. Previous rumors pointed towards July 15 or July 17 as the possible release date for the phone, yet now we learn that the handset could land as soon as July 13.

The new launch date for the BlackBerry Tour has surfaced on HowardForums, posted by Kevin Byrne, and it seems that it might prove true after all. For what it's worth, if it's not on the 13th of July, it should be on one of the other two dates previously rumored. Perhaps the safest bet that can be made at the moment is to wait for an official confirmation of the launch date, or to wait for that week to see which of the three days will be the lucky one.

In related news, we learn that another nice-looking BlackBerry device is on its way to the market this year, namely the 8520 Curve (also known as the Gemini), which is now reported to be heading towards T-Mobile USA, which is likely to make it available for purchase sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, yet no details on a possible price tag have surfaced so far.

The new BlackBerry 8520 Curve seems set to make quite an impression when launched, as it comes with a new optical trackball, marking a change from the usual input mechanism that we are accustomed to see in BlackBerry Curve at the moment. Another interesting thing about the phone is that it is targeted at the low-cost/emerging market segment, at least this is what BGR states, which makes it a little interesting that it will become available with T-Mobile.
