After Three UK announced that it would launch the BlackBerry Torch 9810 by the end of August, Vodafone UK has just confirmed that it will retail the smartphone as well.

In addition, Vodafone UK confirmed that it would also offer the BlackBerry Torch 9860 smartphone, but no exact release dates or price tags have been disclosed yet.

Both Torch devices will join the upcoming Bold 9900, as the first smartphones in Vodafone UK's portfolio that are delivered with BlackBerry 7 operating system on board.

Dubbed as Torch 2, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is building on the original Torch 9800 success to offer users even more functionality and processing speed.

The smartphone comes with a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display supports 16 million colors and 480 x 640 pixels resolution and features optical trackpad and proximity sensor for auto-turn off.

Equipped with a 1.2 GHz processor, Torch 9810 features a highly responsive touch interface with incredibly fast and smooth graphics.

Torch 9810 has a slider form factor and comes with a standard QWERTY keyboard, along with a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities.

On the inside, the device packs 8 GB of internal storage, 768 MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities.

The second BlackBerry smartphone confirmed by Vodafone UK, the Torch 9860 comes with the largest touchscreen display ever embedded onto a BlackBerry device.

The phone's 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display is optimized for displaying web pages, photos, videos and powerful gaming experiences.

Just like the Torch 9810, it is equipped with a 1.2 GHz processor and runs BlackBerry 7 operating system.

The rest of its specs are similar to the Torch 9810, including the amount of memory, camera and connectivity options.

On related news, it is likely that Vodafone UK will offer both Torch smartphone for free with select plans.
