Regional carrier Videotron has been very busy lately launching lots of new handsets, including Android and BlackBerry smartphones, as well as feature-phones.

The latest addition to Videotron's portfolio of BlackBerry devices is the all-touch Torch 9860 smartphone.

Potential customers can purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9860 for a “reduced price” of $149.95 (110 EUR) or $529.95 (385 EUR) outright.

This is the second BlackBerry 7 smartphone that goes live at Videotron, after the carrier released the Bold 9900 last week.

Additional Blackberry 7 device will be launched by Videotron within the next days, including BlackBerry Curve 9360.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 or more likely “Touch” 9860 is RIM's first all-touch smartphone launched in the market. The devices ditches the advantages of a physical QWERTY keyboard for a full touch experience.

Combining the power of a BlackBerry with the joy of a touchscreen. Prepare to be impressed by the BlackBerry Torch 9860! Need to browse the Web or read a file? Just touch the screen. Measuring 3.7 inches, it's the largest screen seen to date on a BlackBerry. Equipped with a powerful 1.2 GHz processor, this BlackBerry lets you browse faster. Experience the device's exceptional technological performance,” the manufacturer claims.

The largest touchscreen display ever embedded onto a BlackBerry device has 3.7-inch and supports 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The phone comes with an optical trackpad and the Liquid Graphics function that allows users to slide and zoom, offering ultra-smooth image flow.

It is equipped with a 1.2 GHz single core processor and packs 2.5 GB storage, 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The Torch 9860 comes with HSDPA (14.4Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76 Mbps) support, as well as a standard 1230 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 7 hours of talk time for 3G mode or up to 320 hours of standby time.

I am really waiting for the 9360, it's the only one that might convince me not to go for the 9700.
