BlackBerry Torch 9800, the latest smartphone the Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion launched during the ongoing year, is expected to make an appearance on its home land market as soon as next Monday, on the airwaves of wireless carrier Rogers.

September 27th should be the lucky day for those who are looking forward to grab the new handset, though it seems that the online ordering for the device should kick off as soon as tomorrow, September 24th.

Originally, the new mobile phone was announced as being set to land in Canada on September 24th, but some carriers already pushed its release date back to October 1st, including Bell and Virgin.

As for Rogers, the carrier seems set to have the new device available for online ordering tomorrow, but says that the actual units won't arrive in stores until Monday is here.

Moreover, it appears that only a small number of Torch 9800 units will be delivered to Rogers' stores next week, though stores will be taking orders for more devices, as a recent article on MobileSyrup notes.

As for the price tag the handset would arrive on shelves with, the news site notes that it has been set at $609.99 in case one would like to get the phone with no contract option.

Other offerings are also there, including $199.99 on a three-year contract agreement (a promotional price), or $449.99 and $499.99 on the same contract length, though with different plan options.

The new device would cost $529.99 and $559.99 on a two year contract, depending on the plan option, or $559.99 on a one-year term.

We should also note that BlackBerry Torch 9800 dummy units reportedly started to arrive in Rogers' stores, which confirms again that the carrier is set to start the pre-order availability for the new device as soon as tomorrow.

Stay tuned for more info on Torch's availability on the Canadian market.
