And since we mentioned the improvements, we should start presenting them first, as the bug fix list is a rather long one. For starters, it seems that with version 4.7.0.113 of the Storm OS users will be able to enjoy reduced waiting time before MP3 files start playing. Among the improvements there will also be an enhanced system to ensure that OTA updates continue if the media card is removed, support for Arabic languages, and full support for English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish in the East Asia language pack, as well as rendering support for Indonesian Bahasa, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

The list continues with the addition of a “Go” button next to the address and search fields in the browser, as well as in the search application. Furthermore, a Phone icon was added to the home screen, now there’s support for Over-the-Air upgrades using either internal memory or a media card, the Call Log icon in the Applications folder has been removed, while the volume consistency across applications and calls has been improved.

Users will also be able to enjoy improved speed in the Calendar application when selecting “go to date,” as well as when composing messages and when displaying pictures, along with enhanced accuracy of signal strength meter, support for streaming video content at times when the URLs are longer than 512 characters. The full QWERTY keyboard will be available in portrait mode too and the display rotation speed while viewing contacts has been improved, as was performance and stability with pre-loaded games.
