According to the latest news on the Web, another OS has been leaked for Vodafone BlackBerry Storm, and the owners of such a device are now supposed to have a reason to rejoice. This time the leaked operating system is fit for Storm 9500, and we're talking about the OS 4.7.0.85 again, the one that was leaked for Storm 9530 a little more than a week ago.

The series of leaked operating systems seems to continue with today's news on 4.7.0.85 for 9500, which was left behind last time. According to some users that already managed to take a glimpse at the features of the new Storm 9500 OS, it presents itself as more stable than the previous releases, while also running better than that of 9530.

Most of the comments on the new OS we've seen while browsing on the forums are rather positive. Users report that they managed to install both the OS as well as third-party applications without experiencing any issues. In addition, all apps are said to work a little faster than before, including Internet surfing, screen zoom or camera activities. The reception is also said to be better, while the entire device is seen as more responsive than before.

Of course, as it happens with most updates, some features might have not been improved, yet it is rather unlikely that they have been slowed down, although this has been said as well. Hopefully, in the end the new OS will prove more reliable and stable than older releases. The device could really need a boost, considering the fact that some carriers have already been reported to plan removing it from their offerings due to software-based issues.

Until an official version of the OS is released, those willing to try the leaked one can download it from here. Just remember that we're talking about a piece of software that has not been officially introduced, so you will be installing it at your own risk.
