The 4.7.0.76 version bringing plenty of improvements

The latest operating system released for the Storm may make all its lucky users proud, but since good news is always welcome, you should know that a much more advanced version might be appearing soon.

This version brings all sorts of improvements, from small, not so important, but definitely annoying ones, to much more important and delicate ones. Starting with the lesser improvements, when using this new version, the Storm can switch from portrait to landscape mode really fast, in about half a second, thus turning you into a really fast and skilled user.

Also, problems like when you tap a bit too fast on an icon and it is selected have been dealt with, plus that, now, the Storm will reboot significantly less, thus amplifying the pleasant experiences such a device can probably deliver. Another improved issue is the one regarding the battery, which will not need recharging as often as it did when using the 4.7.0.75 or the .65 versions.

When using the browser and switching to landscape, the text increases in size just as much, so that you won't have to switch back and forth all the time. Also, most of the navigation is now done much faster thanks to all these new technologies. In addition, all the tasks of the MP3 player are now much more easily, and above all, more quickly performed. The long waiting periods for the device to finish loading are now almost gone, and navigating through photos or thumbnails is done instantly.

However, there are some problems that still persist from earlier versions, as well as some changes that could represent an advantage to some or, just as well, a downside for others. The focus points of these problems are represented by the occasional disappearance of the keyboard while you are still typing, and the fact that the “back” button does not work sometimes, leaving you stuck in a certain application. Other than these two, no noticeable “disorders” have been spotted for this new operating system.

Now, moving to discussing the changes, you should be aware that, while using the camera, the green autofocus rectangle is no longer present and the overall feeling is that the camera application is doing everything randomly, instead of having a precise “logic” in its actions. The connectivity might feel a bit slower at first, but some of you might get this false impression only because the device is now operating faster.

There is no information on the date of release for 4.7.0.76 OS version, but since these specs are available, it's probably going to be made public pretty soon. Also, we will have to wait until then for answers to any other question we might have regarding this new technology.
