Next week, mobile phone users in Canada will be able to purchase a new BlackBerry 10-based device, namely the QWERTY-enabled BlackBerry Q10, and will enjoy some appealing features and applications on it, it seems.

One of them will be a Skype application, available for users right from the start, a recent article on CrackBerry notes. You can have a look at the software in the video above, available courtesy of n4bb.

The BlackBerry 10 application, however, won’t be native software, as it has been ported from Android, but will still have a lot of features and capabilities to provide users with, that’s for sure.

Interestingly enough, the application has been confirmed only for the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone for the time being, though Z10 users might also receive it in the not too distant future.

Q10 will pack other apps as well, including Angry Birds, Box, Nobex Radio, Dropbox, USA Today, Press Reader, WSJ, and Need for Speed Undercover.
