UK wireless carrier O2 will be providing its customers with the possibility to take advantage of the features and capabilities of the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone, and it has already confirmed that it would be ranging it soon.

In fact, the company has also added the device to a coming soon page on its website, claiming that it will have it on shelves sometime in May.

The second BlackBerry to become official with the new BlackBerry 10 OS loaded on top, the Q10 hasn’t been released anywhere around the world as of now, yet it should land on shelves starting with early April, it seems.

Users in the UK fond of QWERTY-enabled smartphones from the Canadian mobile phone maker, however, will have to wait a bit longer before being able to take advantage of it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone was announced with a 3.1-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 720 x 720 pixels resolution, with the aforementioned physical keyboard on the front, and with a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor inside.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs 2GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB of internal memory, a 2100 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA, and support for LTE connectivity, though this feature is market dependent, as UnwiredView notes in a recent post.

On top of this hardware, there’s the BlackBerry 10 operating system, which can deliver a redesigned mobile experience, along with a nice range of brand new features when compared to previous versions.

“The new BlackBerry Q10 smartphone is powered by BlackBerry 10 and offers not only touchscreen functionality but also a QWERTY keyboard for fast accurate typing,” O2 explains.

“BlackBerry 10 allows conversations take place faster, more accurately and with confidence. The Q10 also comes with BlackBerry Balance, which means that you can use one device for work and play without ever compromising private information. It’s easy to switch between the two.”
