Developed by NewspaperDirect, the PressReader news application will be pre-loaded on the BlackBerry Playbook tablet to emphasize its business features.
The application is currently available for download from
BlackBerry App World and provides users instant access more than 2,000 newspapers, including top news publications from 95 countries, even before they arrive on the newsstands.
Among the most important daily newspapers available once can notice: Daily Mail, International Herald, La Tribune, Irish Times, La Presse, Le Journal de Montreal, Le Monde, National Post, The Australian, The Guardian, Chicago Tribune, and The Globe and Mail and The Washington Post.
PressReader allows users to share articles on
Facebook and Twitter and search or automatically download a number of select titles.
The application will be available for free, but most individual newspapers and magazines available via PressReader can be purchased for $0.99 per issue.
