Good news for BlackBerry fans who own the PlayBook tablet, as the Canadian company has just released a major update. Although the official update has yet to receive an official changelog, some things have been confirmed.

There’s a new forum thread at CrackBerry which confirms the OS 2.1.0.1753 for BlackBerry PlayBook brings some Adobe Flash security updates, but other than that there aren’t any additional details.

Several PlayBook owners who already downloaded an installed the update, claim their tablets’ browser is now slightly faster. Hopefully, the connection functionality with BlackBerry 10 devices will be improved as well after the update is applied.

It’s unclear whether or not this is the same update as the one that leaked online a few days ago, but it appears so. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
