Passport is the next BlackBerry smartphone to be revealed by the Canadian company this month. Although we have no clue yet when exactly the handset will be available for purchase, it’s pretty clear that this is the last major BlackBerry launch for this year.

The excitement built around BlackBerry Passport is about to get even higher with the latest video released by N4BB, which shows the upcoming smartphone in action, alongside two other BlackBerry handsets, the Z10 and Z30.

Both all-touch smartphones failed to bring BlackBerry the revenue the Canadian company hoped for. In fact, the Z10 is one of the main reasons BlackBerry continues to bleed money.

Nevertheless, BlackBerry hopes to change that with the Z3 and Passport smartphones, which should provide enough income for the company to survive. And let’s not forget that BlackBerry is not just a handset maker and that money also comes from different services the company provides to businesses.

BlackBerry Passport does look like a breath of fresh air for the smartphone market, which has been crowded with dull devices lately, with a few exceptions of course.

Fans that are still having second thoughts about purchasing the Blackberry Passport due to its unusual size will be pleased to know that the currently released preview shows the smartphone from all angles.

The Passport is also being compared to BlackBerry Z10 and Z30, so if you’ve ever owned one of these smartphones, you will be able to get a glimpse of how the Passport will look like in your hand or pocket.

But we can see more than that in this 3-minute video. BlackBerry Passport comes with a QWERTY keyboard that doubles as TrackPad when browsing the Internet. Basically, you can scroll up and down by simply swiping your finger up and down on the phone’s physical keyboard.

Passport is expected to ship with BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 right out of the box, but it might receive another update soon after release that should add new features such as 4K video support for the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

According to the BlackBerry Passport leaked specs, the smartphone measures 128 x 90.3 x 9.3 mm and weighs 194.4g (battery included). It also boasts a stunning 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1440 x 1440 pixel resolution and 453ppi (pixel per inch).
