Recently, BlackBerry has been said to plan on expanding BlackBerry Enterprise Server support to Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system as well, and an official confirmation on the matter is now available.

Speaking to CrackBerry, the company’s CEO John Chen said that they were focused on enhancing their support for popular mobile operating systems, and that Windows Phone would be among them.

“We will go in and tell them why BES is the best thing for them, and go through the road map, the offerings, and all that good stuff. We're going to protect their investment in iPhone, and Android, and everywhere else, even with Windows Phones,” Chen said.

Demand for Windows Phone devices is growing, and BlackBerry wants to capitalize on that. As the CEO puts it, one can be both a BlackBerry user and the user of another mobile OS out there, courtesy of BES.
