Research In Motion launched BlackBerry Native SDK 2.0 Beta about a week ago and promised that new features and improvements would be added in future versions.

True to its promise, RIM has just released another build of the SDK that comes with a new Camera Library allowing devs to interact with cameras connected to a BlackBerry 10 device.

In addition, devs will be able to connect to the camera, control the viewfinder, take photos, and record video. Moreover, this API provides users with the ability to read access capability from different stages in the imaging data path.

The Geolocation sample app in the previous version of the SDK was affected by an issue that has been addressed in the latest iteration.

BlackBerry Native SDK 2.1 Beta is now available as a free download via Softpedia.
