Owners of BlackBerry Z10 devices can now download and install on their handsets a new flavor of the BlackBerry Maps, namely version 10.0.0.634.

The new app release should be pushed to smartphones over-the-air, yet those who won’t receive a notification on its availability can head over to this page in the BlackBerry World to download and install it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the BlackBerry Maps application was designed to provide users with 2D maps, local search and powerful 3D voice guided turn-by-turn directions, all free for BlackBerry 10 users.

“You can also save your favorite places and access and share them from other apps like BBM and SMS,” the app’s description reads.

BlackBerry Maps also sports Geolinks so that users could navigate to any text address in other apps, as well as My Places, for a personalized location and navigation experience.
