Two of RIM's new but unofficially announced BlackBerry smartphones, the Javelin and the KickStart (also known as Pearl 8220), have been recently spotted in new live images, allowing us to make a size comparison between them. Moreover, the new pictures also include the already-released (in some markets) BlackBerry Bold, which is the biggest handset of them all. Well, that is if the KickStart is not flipped, because otherwise it becomes huge – its SureType QWERTY keyboard is also quite big, but this is a good thing, as it will allow users to easily input text.

The Javelin seems to be the most fashionable new BlackBerry, with a design even more sleek than the one of the Bold, plus a slim and quite small case. Moreover, it's said that Javelin is also the most multimedia-oriented RIM-made handset to be built until now, bringing features like a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, a 480 x 360 pixel display, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The KickStart (which will almost surely be released by RIM under the name of BlackBerry Pearl 8220) is said to be officially presented ahead of the Javelin. Moreover, there are also details about its price – in Canada, for example, the KickStart should go on sale via Rogers, for prices starting at 149.99 CAD (with a three-year contract agreement).

Coming as the first-ever BlackBerry Clamshell, the latest member of the Pearl family should bring the following features: a QVGA internal display, a 128 x 160 pixel external display, a 2 Megapixel camera, 80MB of expandable memory and so on.

All in all, both the Javelin and the KickStart seem to be perfect devices to complete RIM's 2008 line-up of new smartphones. BlackBerry Bold is already a big success, hence the Canadian company should expect bright days to come. Now there's only the matter of the official release for the Javelin and KickStart / Pearl 8220, but it shouldn't be long before they are available for purchase.
