We already reported that Research In Motion (RIM) plans to release the long-awaited BlackBerry PlayBook 4G LTE tablet on July 31.

It appears that the slate will be initially launched at Bell Canada for around $550 CAD outright, but it’s likely that the PlayBook 4G LTE will go on sale through other Canadian carriers as well.

Today, the folks over at CrackBerry report that RIM has just updated its BlackBerry Desktop Software with PlayBook 4G LTE support.

Both Windows and Mac users can now download new Blackberry Desktop Software versions in order to be able to sync their future acquisitions, such as the PlayBook 4G LTE.

It is also worth mentioning that the Windows version is no longer beta for those with Dev Alpha devices, so everyone can download it now. Check it out here.
