Verizon Wireless’ customers can now purchase a new BlackBerry smartphone on the airwaves of their carrier, namely the BlackBerry Curve 9370.

The Verizon-bound mobile phone was officially unveiled to the world during the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Verizon made the smartphone available for purchase on its website starting with January 19th, 2012, the very same day that the LTE-capable Spectrum by LG became available.

The BlackBerry Curve 9370 was put up for sale with a price tag of $99.99 (77 Euros) attached to it with the signing of a two-year contract agreement. Users interested in acquiring it off contract will have to pay $409.99 (316 Euros) for it.

The affordable device packs pretty appealing specifications, including an 800MHz application processor complemented by 512 MB of RAM, as well as 1GB of onboard memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space (a 2GB card comes preinstalled).

The specs list of this mobile phone also includes a 2.44-inch touchscreen display (480 x 360 pixel HVGA+) paired with a full QWERTY Keyboard, and a five-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for VGA Video recording (640x480).

BlackBerry Curve 9370 was also packed with WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth v2.1, support for CDMA networks, GPS receiver, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Running under RIM’s BlackBerry 7 OS, the new device can deliver fast internet browsing on Verizon's network, along with access to social networking sites and email accounts, to keep users connected at all times.

“Staying social has never looked this cool, or been this easy. Sleek style meets simplicity with the new BlackBerry Curve 9370 smartphone,” Verizon notes.

“The new BlackBerry Curve delivers the classic BlackBerry experience, with an iconic BlackBerry keyboard with simple navigation, precise optical trackpad, and new, advanced, yet easy–to–use, BlackBerry 7 OS software.

“And with new social features like new BBM 6, BBM music, BBM–connected apps, new Social Feeds, and a huge list of fun pre–installed social apps including Facebook and Twitter, the BlackBerry Curve 9370 smartphone makes keeping up with friends easier and more fun than ever.”
