Today, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion announced the release of their BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone on the market in Thailand.

The new device, powered by the BlackBerry 7 OS platform, is available for purchase via all authorized BlackBerry partners, the handset vendor announced.

The new BlackBerry Curve smartphone packs a slim design, and is the most advanced smartphone that RIM launched in the Curve family of devices.

The handset packs a fast application processor, along with the usual Curve QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.44-inch display. It also sports a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Moreover, the new smartphone is being pushed to the market with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with flash and support for video recording and other features more.

The handset also includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, an optical trackpad to accompany the physical QWERTY, NFC (Near Field Communications) capabilities, and the like.

“The new BlackBerry Curve 9360 is a stunning, easy-to-use smartphone that will appeal to Thai customers who want to stay socially connected,” Gregory Wade, regional managing director of East Asia at Research In Motion stated.

“The Curve family of smartphones has been a real hit in Thailand and we expect the new BlackBerry Curve 9360, with all of its major enhancements, to be well received by new customers as well as existing BlackBerry Curve users looking to upgrade.”

Not to mention that the smartphone runs under the new BlackBerry 7 OS platform, which means a faster Browser with optimized HTML5 performance, along with great gaming and video capabilities.

“The BlackBerry Curve 9360 delivers the world’s best mobile communications and social experiences with a highly refined and integrated suite of phone, email, messaging and social apps to keep users connected and productive throughout the day,” the mobile phone maker notes.

“The latest release of BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) is pre-loaded and now extends the real time BBM experience to a range of other apps, allowing users to easily interact with each other from within the ‘BBM connected’ app.”
