The newly announced BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone from Research In Motion is set to make an appearance in the UK at wireless carrier Orange too, after being confirmed for other operators in the country as well.

The mobile phone is already listed on Orange's coming soon page, where the wireless carrier notes that it would be launched with both Pay Monthly and Pay As You Go deals.

The black flavor of BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be coming soon to Orange, yet no estimated arrival window has emerged until now.

Running under the new BlackBerry 7 OS platform, the new Curve smartphone is expected to prove a great option for all those who are looking for an affordable upgrade.

The handset comes to the market with the classic BlackBerry Curve design, boasting a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, along with a QWERTY keyboard for fast typing, and a trackpad easy navigation.

When compared to the previous BlackBerry Curve devices, the new Curve 9360 smartphone offers increased performance capabilities through a faster application processor, as well as better connectivity capabilities, and more.

The mobile phone comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, 512MB of RAM, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 5MP camera on the back with video recording capabilities, and other features as well.

“Communication is the key with the BlackBerry Curve 9360 Black. Comfortable, ergonomic design encases the full QWERTY keypad and works well with the optical trackpad when sending emails or texts,” Orange notes on its website.

“Utilizing the powerful BlackBerry 7 OS you can access all of your favourite social networking apps and keep in touch with friends.

“Surf the web using WiFi or take photos using the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. GPS and video recording features provide the icing on the cake for this fantastic phone.”
