RIM and Orange have just announced the availability of the BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone in Poland. Customers can grab the device from 1 PLN (US$0.3 or 0.2 EUR) with the “Optymalny” and “Optymalny z Internetem” service plans.

This is the third BlackBerry 7 smartphone launched by RIM and Orange in Poland, after the carrier introduced the Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 earlier this year.

In this regard, Orange has also revealed that customers who choose the BlackBerry Torch 9810 or BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be able to take advantage of a special promotion that allows them free use of Orange Navigation for 24 months.

The Curve 9360 is one of the cheaper smartphones to run BlackBerry 7 operating system, along with the recently launched Curve 9380.

The device features a sleek, stylish form factor and comes with the traditional QWERTY keyboard and a touch-sensitive optical trackpad.

Unlike the rest of the BlackBerry 7 devices launched by RIM this year, the Curve 9360 does not feature a touchscreen, instead it sports a standard 2.44-inch display with support for 480 x 360 pixels resolution.

The budget-friendly smartphone is powered by an 800 MHz processor and packs 512 MB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

More importantly, BlackBerry Curve 9360 is delivered with built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communications), which allows users to pair it with other NFC-enabled accessories or read tags with a simple tap of the smartphone.

This new Curve model is absolutely stunning and provides an ideal choice for customers who are looking to upgrade their existing feature phone or existing BlackBerry Curve with an affordable, easy-to-use, full-featured and socially-connected smartphone,” said Paul Lucier, managing director at Research In Motion.
