On Sunday, mobile phone carrier Sprint will bring to the market a new BlackBerry smartphone, namely the Curve 9350.

The handset was initially set to arrive on shelves at the wireless carrier in early September, but it got delayed by about one month, and will arrive on Sprint's airwaves only in two days from now.

The BlackBerry Curve 9350 smartphone will become available for purchase for $79.99 (around 59 euros) (excluding taxes) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The new mobile phone will be put up for sale via all Sprint sales channels, including Sprint Stores, Business Sales, Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) and Web Sales (www.sprint.com).

The wireless carrier also announced that its business customers would be able to purchase the new device for only $49.99 (around 37 Euros) (excluding taxes) with a service agreement.

“The BlackBerry Curve 9350 smartphone features a sleek and professional look in a slim, lightweight form factor,” the wireless carrier notes.

“It is built on the next generation BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 7, a performance driven operating system designed to deliver a faster and easier communication, multimedia and productivity experience.

“With easy access to social networking sites like Facebook, Flickr, MySpace and Twitter and smooth integration, BlackBerry Curve 9350 allows users to keep up to speed on what’s happening both personally and professionally.”

The new mobile phone arrives on shelves with a full QWERTY keyboard and trackpad for navigation, a faster CPU than its successors, 512MB of RAM, and 5MP camera with flash and zoom.

Moreover, the handset features a microSD memory card slot with support for cards of up to 32GB (a 2GB card included in the package), Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR support, and Near Field Communications (NFC).

It also comes with the new BlackBerry 7 OS, with world-class IM services like BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), and with support for applications and games available for download via the BlackBerry App World.
