Research In Motion recently announced the upcoming availability of the budget-friendly BlackBerry Curve 9320 in India. However, the company failed to provide any details on availability and price, instead advising customers to check with their carriers.

The Curve 9320 is one of the cheapest BlackBerry 7 smartphones, along with Curve 9220, which has recently been announced as well.

In fact, both smartphones come with the latest BlackBerry 7.1 operating system, which adds Mobile Hotspot support.

RIM has yet to make the OS 7.1 update available for all compatible smartphones, so Curve 9220 and 9320 owners should consider themselves lucky.

Aside from bringing the OS 7.1 to BlackBerry fans, Curve 9320 also comes with a dedicated BBM key, allowing for quick and easy access to messaging.

In addition, the smartphone offers global 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB support. On the inside, BlackBerry Curve 9320 packs 512MB of ROM, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It also includes a built-in FM radio, document viewer, music player and an integrated 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

The smartphone comes pre-loaded with social apps, such as Facebook and Twitter, along with the new Social Feeds 2.0 app, which allows customers to post updates to multiple social networks at the same time and capture updates from RSS feeds.

BlackBerry Curve 9320 is powered by a 1450 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide users up to 432 hours of standby time or up to 7 hours of talk time.

The BlackBerry Curve series is extremely popular and successful in India and we are excited to bring the new BlackBerry Curve 9320 to customers here. This new Curve model is designed to make it incredibly easy for customers to be socially-connected, and we expect it will be especially popular in the youth segment,” said Sunil Dutt, managing director, India at Research In Motion.
