Vodafone Malta Ltd. and RIM have announced that the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has been launched in Malta. The new device is meant to offer users an easy way to always stay connected with their friends, family or colleagues. At the same time, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 comes with global connectivity features, as well as with built-in Wi-Fi and GPS.

The device includes a next generation 512MHz processor and is able to deliver great resolution on its display, while offering users great phone, email, messaging, organizer, web browser and multimedia applications. Vodafone Malta Ltd. Chief Executive Officer, Inaki Berroeta, stated, “Now that the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is available in the Maltese market, professionals have the opportunity to manage their business and personal lives in a fast and flexible manner.”

BlackBerry Curve 8900 comes in a sleek style, while offering a full-QWERTY keyboard coupled with an intuitive trackball so that users would be able to enjoy both easy typing and navigation. The handset includes a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, which sports auto focus, digital zoom, flash and video recording capabilities. The handset also comes with a microSD/SDHC memory card slot that allows users to expand the available storage space to up to 16GB per card so that they would be able to enjoy more memory space that is also easily interchangeable.

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is offered by Vodafone Malta for €470 without a contract agreement, yet customers will receive different discounts according to the tariff plans they opt for. With the Smart60+ post paid tariff, for example, the carrier offers the BlackBerry Curve 8900 for free.
