Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry has been long rumored to plan the launch of an entry-level BlackBerry C-Series smartphone, and some new photos with the device have leaked online.

Little is known on the handset itself for the time being, but rumor has it that it would fit in BlackBerry’s roadmap right next to the Q5.

As CrackBerry notes, the smartphone will feature some similarities with the BlackBerry Z10 and Z30 smartphones, and could very well be released as the Z5.

The newly leaked images with the phone, available courtesy of CrackBerry forums and extracted from a BB10 help file, do not unveil much on it either, though they do suggest that the handset vendor is still working on this device.

They also unveil that two different versions of the smartphone might be launched at some point in the future, provided that BlackBerry is indeed still aiming at launching a new cheap handset.
