Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has been long rumored to plan on bringing to the market during the ongoing year a new series of appealing devices, and some more info on one of the handsets that might have been included in the roadmap has emerged.

We're referring to the BlackBerry Bold Touch, touchscreen-enabled BlackBerry Bold device which has been rumored since a few years ago, and which seems to be finally heading to the market.

Recently, the mobile phone emerged in a series of support videos, which were meant to show us how to benefit from some of the features that RIM packed it with, and now it can be seen in new photos.

Sporting the same popular Bold design that enthusiast might already be familiar with, the handset combines two input methods, through the addition of the said touchscreen display into the mix.

The new photos with the phone come from BGR, who had the chance to play with the device before, and says that the Bold Touch is a quite appealing device.

According to the news site, the upcoming mobile phone feels pretty solid, and comes with a highly responsive touchscreen display.

Moreover, the device comes with a brand new battery from Research In Motion, which should eliminate the fear that the new touch capabilities would drain the juice from it too fast.

As previously rumored, the handset is expected to become official at the BlackBerry World next month, and might hit the shelves around the world sometime in June or July during the ongoing year.

The handset is also expected to come to the market with a fast application processor packed inside, as well as with enhanced connectivity options when compared to its predecessors, more internal memory, and improved support for multimedia content, and for office and entertainment applications.

The new device could be released with RIM's new BlackBerry OS 6.1 operating system on board, but nothing was confirmed officially on it as of now.
