It should not be too long before Verizon Wireless goes official with its own flavor of BlackBerry Bold 9900, the first handset that Research In Motion unveiled to the world with the new BlackBerry OS 7 on board.

The handset was already spotted into the wild with Verizon's logo on it, and was spotted today on the wireless carrier's website.

The link above will take you to the Bold 9650 page at Verizon, but, when clicking on the “Explore Features” video link there, you will be provided with a presentation of the yet-unofficial Bold 9930 smartphone.

So as to distinguish itself from the GSM Bold 9900 smartphone, the handset will sport the model number 9930 when launched at Verizon.

Even so, the specifications list should be similar to the one available for the already unveiled handset, it seems.

In addition to the aforementioned BlackBerry OS 7, the handset should sport a 1.2GHz application processor, along with a 2.8-inch touchscreen display.

Being a Bold device, it would also come with the familiar form factor that handsets in this family include, with the popular Bold QWERTY to accompany the aforementioned display.

The new device should prove a great addition to the BlackBerry Bold family of devices, since it comes with a range of enhancements meant to provide users with a far better experience.

For the time being, there is no telling when Verizon might plan on making the new device official, but it should not be too long before that happens.

RIM is expected to unveiled to the world a new set of BlackBerry OS 7 devices as soon as today, and the CDMA flavor of Bold 9900 destine for Verizon might be one of them.

Until an official confirmation on the new device is made available, have a look at the video embedded below to see the said Bold 9930 presentation.
