BlackBerry Bold 9900 ‘No Sound’ Issue Gets Fix

but i don't have any apps loaded

Mine wont work at all, I have taken the battery out and back in about 10 times, and it still hasnt worked, I dont have One Touch Flashlight so it cant be that causing it. Im getting really frustrated now, what should I do

I have a similar issue. Please let me know if there is any solutions for this. I don't know where and how to uninstall those applications. could some one guide me to solve this issue?

I had the Flashlight: 2 for 1 Free vers. 1.1.4.1 and I just deleted it and rebooted. Never know when the audio problem (can't transmit) will happen but it has been 2 days in a row. I figured out that I can test my capability to transmit or be heard (before making a call) by using the Voice Dialing feature first. So which flashlight is okay to use?

I had the same "silence" problem in my BB 9900. I removed the flashlight app, removed the battery and restarted it and the sound came back. However, 5 days later the BB 9900 went silent again. The sound came back after removing the battery and restarting it. My concern is that I do not know when it will go silent again and how many reboots it will survive?

Well, my speaker not completely went quite. Meaning: It only sounded quite when it related with ringtone used for my profile. My speaker works fine, when it played with media player. So, it must be software problem, not hardware problem. Then, I came across this site, and uninstall the apps. mention above (I dont really need it anyway). Voila! Works like a charm! First of all excuse me for my English. My device (bold 9900) is updated to latest firmware update. But i am still facing the same problem i was hoping to resolved . No sound issue is still there and its being mute more often than before. I have not installed both the software which are mentioned as cause of problem. Actually when this problem occurring you can not listen,process any song actually you can hardly process any media from the device. This kind of problem is making this device untrustworthy. Please help if any one finds any solution for the problem. Thanks

I don't have any of the applications mentioned installed and I just started having this issue a couple of days ago (using the phone since October ). Any other suggestions as to why this might be happening?

I'm facing the same problem with my BB9900. I can't hear anything when I call or receive calls. can somebody help how to get to this "one touch flashlight"

After receiving a new BB 9900, the problem still exists, glad I figured out ot google it...and this popped up....and yes I do have the flashlight 2 n 1, so hopefully this will be the fix. Shame TMOBILE didnt even know....*after two calls*

I have been having the exact same problem with my 9930 and it only happens after I have connected to a bluetooth audio device. I do not have and never had the flashlight softwares installed. I can alleviate the problem by not enabling bluetooth connections. This is a seriously annoying software bug, and in our comapny at this time we are looking at moving away from blackberry product all together given poor support, and waining competitiveness for business use.

I echo your sentiments. I have a BB 9930 and my audio "disappeared" today. It happened after I auto-connected to my car bluetooth, but not immediately afterwards. I made and received several calls before the audio went dead. This is a serious problem and may be yet another nail into the BB coffin.

Pls tell me wat to do, I've deleted almost all apps on my bb bold 9900 n yet can't get d sound back pls wat is d next time. I'm pixed off with d phone already

I had an APP installed called Hookt, when I updated to a newer version the sound on my BB 9900 stopped. I deleted the APP completly and everything is working fine.

Had the two apps on my previous device, just got the bold and having the same problem, my phone just goes mute, no ringing and no hearing any callers, likewise they can't hear me also. They are currently uninstalled, haven't reinstalled them on this new device but I keep having this problem and have to do a hard re-boot constantly. Please help!

deleting aaps or taking battery out will not solve the issues with every1
the solution is u upgrade ur software to 7.1 os your problem will definetly solv

I took the battery out once and put it back and voila, I have the sound back. This was the quickest I have ever found a solution online to any problem with the first google link click.

My BB Bold 9900 went totally silent - i removed facebook pp and actually did not have flashlight app installed when it went silent - I can hear people on the phone but have absolutely no sound - this is ridiculous. RIM needs to fix and support this. It appears we are all left to figure this out for ourselves. any othr suggestions - in the past I just had to take out battery and it woudl start working but even that no longer works.
any other suggestions?
