Today, wireless carrier T-Mobile USA made available for purchase a new BlackBerry smartphone, the new BlackBerry 7 OS-based Bold 9900, the first Bold device from Research In Motion to pair a touchscreen display with a QWERTY keyboard.

The new mobile phone went official a few months ago, but RIM took its time before bringing it to the market.

However, now it is available for purchase though various wireless carriers in the United States, as well as on the airwaves of other operators around the country.

Now, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is available for purchase from T-Mobile with a price tag of $299.99 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Those who would like to purchase the mobile phone free of contract will have to pay $599.99 for it, the wireless carrier notes on its website.

The new device is one of the most advanced smartphones that RIM included in its BlackBerry Bold series, featuring a 1.2GHz application processor inside, and various other high-end hardware specs as well.

Not to mention that the mobile phone comes with support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ network, as well as with other connectivity capabilities inside, including WiFi and Bluetooth.

“Turn communication into collaboration with the ultimate BlackBerry smartphone, built for 4G speeds on America's Largest 4G Network and featuring a touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard,” the wireless carrier notes.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display complemented by the popular QWERTY keyboard any Bold smartphone features, and packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with video recording capabilities.

The mobile phone also sports a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, as well as great web browsing capabilities.

The new Bold 9900 is based on the BlackBerry 7 OS, which comes with various enhancements when compared to the previous flavors of RIM's mobile platform.
